Privacy policy

Madling (called Cadence while in testing) is a language-learning app made by Brintol Development Inc. This page explains what it collects and why. Effective October 21, 2026.

What we collect

Your email address and password, so you can sign in. Passwords are stored hashed by our database provider; we never see them.

The display name you choose, and your learning activity in Madling: the words and phrases you study, your review answers, experience points, streaks, coins and achievements. We also record when you last used the app.

The app keeps your settings on your device.

What we don't collect

No location, contacts, microphone, camera, advertising ID, or tracking across other apps and websites. Madling shows no ads, and we don't sell or rent your data.

Why we use it

To run your account, save your progress, and schedule your reviews. Nothing else.

Who processes it

Supabase hosts our database and sign-in on our behalf. All data travels over encrypted connections. No one else receives your data.

This website

This site uses no cookies, analytics or trackers. Our web host, Cloudflare, handles standard request data such as your IP address to deliver the pages and protect against abuse.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings, then Delete account), or by following the steps on this page. We then delete your account and all your learning data within 30 days.

Children

Madling is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
